We have had so much fun the past week or two it is hard to recap it all! Christmas was wonderful as always. We headed out to Scott City on Thursday night after Coop's Christmas Program. It was his first "Christmas Sing" and Terry was sure he would not sing at all. Boy did he prove him wrong. He not only sang but also had full actions going. It was adorable and we were very happy we waited til after his program to leave for Christmas.
Before the concert though, the kids had a little Christmas fun with Poho and each other!
Our trip out to Scott City was pretty good other than about 45 miles of black ice. We are getting pretty used to that though and this year stayed on the road :). They had a lot of snow though so the kids, mainly Coop, had a blast playing in the snow for the first time this year! Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were wonderful. We ate way too much and the kids received a riduculous amount of gifts all of which were awesome! Terry and I did very well ourselves too :) I asked the kids after Christmas what their favorite part of Christmas was. They both of course said presents but they both also said being with our family and Christmas Eve Church Service. It made me very happy that they see more than just a time of presents.
We headed back home on Monday and I had the luxury of having Tuesday and Wednesday off too. On Tuesday as the kids played with all their new toys, Raelynn said "Mom, I love you! Thank you so much for taking today off from work. We love being home!" I felt so good to have the day with them. Tomorrow though is back to reality. Karli is here to watch the kids for the next couple days and then more family fun time with New Year's Eve and New Year's Day!
