Cooper just has a really bad ear infection and that is probably why he failed the screening. I never knew we would be so happy about and ear infection. Dr. Kelley was shocked that Coop didn't have any indicators like fever, loss of appetite, fussiness but he had not given us any indication. So he has medicine for 10 days and then they will rescreen his hearing.

Henry hardly makes a peep either about infected ears. They are tough little guys!
Ugh! Ear infections just suck. I know you don't want to submit Coop to any more surgery than necessary, but if his infections are chronic, I would suggest pushing for tubes. Seriously, I had to pretty much demand them for Riley (he also failed numerous hearing tests) but it was so worth it. Within days we noticed a complete change in his demeanor and verbal communication. I can only assume it was because the pain and pressure had been alleviated and he could actually hear correctly. Just something to think about. Best of luck with everything. You know our prayers are with you all!
